Nigerian Military Neutralise 89 Bandits In Zamfara
The Nigerian Military has recorded another victory in its on-going war against Terrorism, Armed banditry among other treacherous crimes in the country.
The troops of Operation of Hadarin Daji of the Nigerian Army and other allied forces have neutralised no less than 89 armed bandits in Gidan Jaja area of Zamfara State as well as rescued five kidnapped victims.
The Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Maj. General John Enenche in a statement made available to CNA news said unconfirmed number of bandits escaped with several gunshot wounds and no loss of lives or equipments on the side of the troops.
Arms and ammunition recovered from the bandits include; 19 AK 47 rifles, 1 PKT machine gun,9 magazines, 167 rounds of 7.62 (Special), one dane gun and one locally made pistol.
322 rustled cows, 77 motorcycles and 9 cell phones were also recovered adding that the bandits camps were cleared by troops.
The statement further added that
formal handover of kidnapped victims and rustled cows would be carried out in-line with due process.
